  12. The Court defers noting probable jurisdiction in

  14.      these cases so that the United States District Court for

  16. the Western District of Louisiana, by re-entering its

  18. judgment, can cure a procedural defect arising from that
  19.  
  20. court's having entered judgment prior to the issuance on 
  21.  
  22. July 27, 1994, of this Court's judgment in Louisiana v. 
  23.  
  24. Hays, No. 93-1539.  This order shall be sent to the 
  25.  
  26. District Court forthwith.  The District Court shall 
  27.  
  28. immediately re-enter its judgment.  This Court will then 
  29.  
  30. note probable jurisdiction and consolidate the cases for 
  31.  
  32. briefing and oral argument on the same schedule as if 
  33.  
  34. this Court had noted probable jurisdiction today.
